A family office acquires the historic villa from a Roman entrepreneur. It will become a hotel run by Mariott

A Family Office has completed the acquisition of the former Villino Costanzi in Rome from a Roman enterpreneur.
The historic building that is the subject of this transaction is located inside Rione Monti, one of the capital’s most beautiful areas and not far from the city’s main landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Venezia. With more than 65 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a courtyard with a terrace and a rooftop, the former Villino Costanzi will undergo a complete renovation to become an accommodation facility managed by the prestigious Mariott brand.
The transaction was completed with the collaboration of Iberolat, an international firm specializing in hotel real estate brokerage and advisory services, which advised buyer and seller and coordinated the transaction; Dentons, which supervised legal matters; and Avalon for Technical Advisory. Our team assisted the client as technical advisor with the activities of Technical Due Diligence for acquisition, analysis of the prepared building titles and technical assistance for purchasing.
Lastly, to our great pride, we are involved and already promptly operational as Project Monitors of the renovation works that will bring the Villino towards its transformation into a hotel that, from 2025, will open its doors to travelers in the capital.
