Hines has announced the grand opening of the 5 star Hotel “Il Tornabuoni” of Florence will take place in September 2021. The hotel has been built inside Palazzo Minerbetti, an iconic XV century Florentine building of extraordinary historical and architectural value located over the renowned Piazza Santa Trinità square.
The asset, acquired by Hines in 2016 through the Hines European Core Fund (HECF), has undergone conservative and renovation works whose Due Diligence and Project Monitoring activities were fulfilled by Avalon.
The building consists of 6 floors, of which two with retail use class and four hotel use class, for a total of over 5.000 sqm. The hotel, which hosts 62 rooms and suites, will be a 5 star luxury hotel of the AG Hotels collection, a brand by AG Group owned by Andrea Girolami, and combines the Reinassance style of the building and square and modern style.
Palazzo Minerbetti is one of several projects which promote the renovation of historical and iconic assets located in Italian city centres, such as the project located in Milan, Via della Spiga, in which Avalon acts as Project Manager.
